PennDOT shuts down Prospect Road on June 30 for construction
a. (WHTM) — A road in Lancaster County is closed as of 5 p.m. and will be through Monday morning for a safety improvement project.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Prospect Road (Route 4001) in West Hempfield Township, Lancaster County is scheduled to be closed from 5 p.m. on June 30 to 6 a.m. on July 1 between Ironville Pike and Marietta Avenue (Route 23).

The department says a contractor will be applying high friction surface treatment, asphalt resurfacing, line painting, advanced warning markings, and sign updates on the following routes:
Route 72 between Mount Hope Road and Pinch Road in Rapho Township.
Route 241 between Ridgeview Road and Koser Road in Mount Joy Township.
Route 324 between Red Hill Road and East Loop Road in Martic Township.
Route 897 between Stone Hill Road and Gehman School Road in Brecknock Township.
North Ridge Road (Route 1045) from just south of Resh Road to Mill Road in West and East Cocalico townships.
Reinholds Road (Route 1055) between Bonview Drive and Smokestown Road in East Cocalico Township.
Millport Road (Route 2036) between Eshelman Road and River Bend Park Road in West Lampeter Township.
Donerville Road (Route 3031) between Weaver Road and Habecker Church Road in Manor Township.
Prospect Road (Route 4001) between Ironville Pike to just north of Fairview Road in West Hempfield Township.
A detour will be in place using Ironville Pike and Marietta Avenue.
