Pennsylvania men found with nearly 200 lbs of marijuana, guns & cash; DA
(WHTM)– Two Pennsylvania men were arrested in Chester County for allegedly trafficking nearly 200 lbs of marijuana.
According to the Chester County District Attorney's Office, Christian Sholly, 32, and Josiah Silva, 23, both of Exton, were arrested on Oct. 4 after police seized nearly 200 lbs of marijuana and other items across multiple searches.
Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said, "This was a home invasion waiting to happen. The Defendants had an absurd amount of marijuana, cash, and jewelry. By stopping this operation, detectives prevented violent crime from happening in West Whiteland."
The DA's office said on Oct. 4, law enforcement executed search warrants at two residences on the 400 block of Henley Drive in West Whiteland Township. Officers seized roughly 60 lbs of marijuana, $180,000, designer jewelry, five firearms, and three cars.
Investigators later determined one of the defendants had a storage unit. Police found 120 lbs of marijuana as well as other THC vape, canisters, and handguns, according to the DA's office. Sholly, who has a prior felony conviction, was not permitted to possess a firearm.
The two were charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver and other related charges. Bail set at $250,000, per the DA's office.
The Chester County Detectives worked in partnership with West Whiteland Township Police Department in this investigation.
