Person flown to hospital after Springfield shooting

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio ( WDTN ) — One person was injured in a shooting in Springfield this weekend.

According to the Springfield Police Division, crews were called just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. A shooting was reported near the Buckeye Sports Lodge on W. High Street.

Football player injured after shots fired near game in Cincinnati

One person was reported shot and taken to a local hospital. They were then CareFlighted to Miami Valley Hospital for their injuries.

Springfield does not yet have anyone in custody related to the incident. Police say they are still in the early stages of the investigation.
