The 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles come into this game with the best record in the NFL. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of the lowly New York Jets . While the Eagles have been excellent, they have some flaws. The Eagles defense has given up more passing yards than all but three NFL teams, and more passing touchdowns than all but one NFL team. That’s a dangerous flaw to have when facing Patrick Mahomes.

On the other hand, the Eagles boast the #1 run defense in the NFL, and the #3 scoring offense. We’ll see if that’s enough to pull out a road win over the Chiefs.

The 7-2 Kansas City Chiefs have the best record in the AFC. They come into this game off their bye week. The Chiefs have not been quite the same offensive juggernaut we’ve seen in the past. They rank 8th in offensive yards gained and 11th in points scored. However, the Chiefs more than make up for the slight falloff in offensive numbers with their best defense in years. The Chiefs defense ranks 4th in the NFL in yards allowed and 2nd in points allowed. The result has been a Chiefs team that has won seven of their last eight games.

In perhaps the best matchup of the NFL season to date, I’m taking the Chiefs to take advantage of the Eagles’ soft pass defense and take care of business at home against a formidable Eagles team.
