Pittsburgh Steelers get great news on Najee Harris after injury scare

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Steelers got some much-needed good news on Najee Harris after he went down with an ankle injury in their win over the Washington Commanders. Even if Harris returned, he was still heavily limping postgame and needed testing on Monday after the game, but tests did not reveal anything too severe.

Harris said he's 'good' to go after testing and practicing fully on Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday. As the team's workhorse back, Harris has sustained a few injuries over the year, but has yet to miss a game. In fact, Harris has still not missed a game in his entire NFL career, proving to be a bastion of durability since the Steelers drafted him in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Harris had three straight 100-yard games going into the bye week, but had just 53 rushing yards against the Commanders. Jaylen Warren had 14 carries for 66 yards, but fumbled at the one yard line in the fourth quarter.
