Pittsburgh Steelers' promising cornerback has return delayed one more week

R.Taylor27 min ago
Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cory Trice Jr . will be out at least one more week with a hamstring injury that has nagged him since Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Trice had his practice window opened earlier this week as he tried to return from his hamstring injury, but the team believed that two days of practice for the second-year player was just too little.

They will ramp him up throughout this upcoming week, and it seems likely that Trice will return for the team's game against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football, even if the turnaround is quick.

Before his injury, Trice played well, including his first career interception against the Denver Broncos in Week 2. The Steelers want him back, not only to help with special teams but because they view Trice as a unique piece that can allow them to unlock more options in coverage.

Before his injury, Trice played as the team's dimebacker. Cam Sutton is now back, so that could change even when Trice returns, but the team hopes to have Trice back for depth purposes on the outside at the very least.
