Pittsburgh Steelers safety misses unexpectedly misses practice with illness

D.Davis26 min ago
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds missed Wednesday's practice with an illness. The illness is unknown, and how long Edmunds will miss practice remains to be seen.

However, with Cam Sutton back into the fold, the Steelers are experimenting with what roles each player will have, and Sutton missing any time of practice could hurt his chances of playing in the dime packages against the Commanders.

The Steelers signed Edmunds off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad following Week 2 against the Denver Broncos. He was inactive for the first two games, but the team has since worked him in as a gunner and key depth safety. If there is an injury to any of teh top three safeties, he also acts as the third safety in their three safety nickel.
