Pittsburgh Steelers set for massive boost with return of 4 players vs. Commanders, including rising star

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Steelers are set up well for business as they could welcome back four players who had been out before the bye week due to injury. Center Zach Frazier, outside linebacker Nick Herbig, quarterback Justin Fields, and running back Cordarrelle Patterson should all return from injury against the Washington Commanders.

Frazier practiced on Wednesday and said that he felt good. He tested his ankle and now fully anticipates returning after feeling it out. He had rehabbed it for the better part of a month since suffering an injury against the Las Vegas Raiders, but now feels ready to return.

Patterson has continued to practice over the last two weeks while returning from a high ankle sprain. Now, he has graduated to full participation, and that signals a return for him.

Fields was relegated to the emergency third quarterback against the New York Giants with a slight hamstring tweak, but it was not much of a concern this week, and Fields is set to be the backup once again.

Herbig is the one with the most still out there, but he returned to practice on Wednesday after saying he intended to play on Monday. There is a lot of optimism in the building for Herbig to return, and it seems likely that this could be the week he is back in the fold.
