Pittsburgh Steelers speedy cornerback goes down with hamstring injury
I.Mitchell12 hr ago
LANDOVER, Md. - Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Donte Jackson left the team's game against the Washington Commanders with a hamstring injury and he is questionable to return. Veteran cornerback James Pierre replaced Jackson after the injury. Jackson had dealt with a shoulder injury throughout the season, and the hamstring injury is a new injury. Backup cornerback Cory Trice is the top reserve for the Steelers, but he is out with a hamstring injury. The Steelers are hoping to get Trice back soon. He has not played since Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Jackson down, Pierre will start with Cam Sutton as the top backup after him. Sutton has played mostly on the inside and in dime packages for the Steelers instead of playing outside. It seems that will continue for the Steelers, as they turned to Pierre. Pierre was signed by the Steelers after their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons to help as a punt gunner.
