Places offering free Veterans Day meals in north central West Virginia
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Veterans Day is coming up on Monday, Nov. 11, and a number of restaurants are offering free food to veterans and military members on the day.
Here are some in north central West Virginia in 2024.
Free Meal
Applebee's – Free meal from select menu on Nov. 11, dine-in only. North central West Virginia locations are in Clarksburg, White Hall, Morgantown and Elkins.
Bob Evans – Free meal from select menu on Nov. 11, dine-in only. North central West Virginia locations are in in Bridgeport, Elkins, White Hall and Morgantown.
Buffalo Wild Wings – Free order of 10 boneless wings and fries with valid ID on Nov. 11. North central West Virginia locations are in Bridgeport, Buckhannon, Morgantown and Granville.
Chili's – Free meal from select items on Nov. 11, in-restaurant only with valid military ID. The only location in north central West Virginia is in Morgantown.
Cracker Barrel – Complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special on Nov. 11, dine-in only. Locations are in Fairmont and Morgantown.
Krispy Kreme donuts hitting Clarksburg McDonald's next week
Denny's – Free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m.-12 p.m. on Nov. 11 with valid military ID. The only local location is in Clarksburg.
Greene Turtle – Free meal up to $15 with valid ID on Nov. 11, dine-in only. The only local location is in Morgantown.
Huddle House – Free MVP Breakfast Platter on Nov. 11, dine-in only. The only north central West Virginia location is in Buckhannon.
– Free Red, White, and Blueberry Pancake Combo between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 11, dine-in only. Locations are in Bridgeport, Jane Lew, and Morgantown.

Ruby Tuesday – Free Garden Bar entrée, American Smashed Burger, or Ruby's Cheeseburger with military ID on Nov. 11 using code HERO24. Locations are in Clarksburg and Morgantown.
– Free half turkey sub and a regular size fountain drink on Nov. 11. Veterans can also get a free carwash at stores that provide them. North central West Virginia locations are in Clarksburg, Bridgeport, Morgantown, Star City, Fairmont, Philippi, Belington , Elkins, Buckhannon and Weston.
Texas Roadhouse – Free meal voucher between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 with valid ID. The vouchers are valid for a meal from a select menu until May 30, 2025. Locations are in Clarksburg and Westover.
Taziki's – Complimentary Grilled Chicken Gyro meal on Nov. 11. The only north central West Virginia location is in Morgantown's Suncrest Towne Centre.
TGI Fridays – Free meal from a select menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 11. The only local location is in Bridgeport.
Wendy's – Free Breakfast Combo during breakfast hours on Nov. 11, must be ordered in-person. Locations are in Clarksburg, Bridgeport, Buckhannon, Elkins, Weston, Fairmont and Morgantown.

Tim Hortons – Free classic donut on Nov. 11, in-store only. Locations are in Clarksburg and Morgantown.
Longhorn Steakhouse – Free appetizer or dessert with purchase along with 10% discount on Nov. 10 and 11 on dine-in and call-in orders. Locations are in Clarksburg and Morgantown.
Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen – Complimentary appetizer or dessert on Nov. 11. The only north central West Virginia location is in Morgantown.
Outback Steakhouse – Free Bloomin' Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entrée on Nov. 11, in-store only. Locations are in Bridgeport and Morgantown.
