PM Update: Some showers behind cold front into evening, then light rain Friday

It was another warm one today, with highs well into the 70s to around 80, but a several-day cool-down looms. Dulles Airport snagged at least 80, which is a record high for the date and the third latest in the year to see 80 there. A cold front passing through the region this afternoon and evening is the beginning of a change. You’ll definitely feel it Friday.Through tonight: The cold front moving through the region will send us a couple of showers into early evening. They’ll be spotty, with minimal rain falling where they pass. It will be turning cooler and mainly clear with lows making the 40s tonight.
