Police investigating hit-and-run along Interstate 24 that killed Antioch woman

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian along Interstate 24.

Nashville police said an 18-year-old Antioch woman, identified as Bethany Coolittle, was in the middle of the interstate when she was struck by an unknown vehicle Monday around 6:40 p.m. that continued driving after striking her.

Other vehicles that remained on scene also hit the woman but none are believed to be the vehicle that initially struck her.

Police said it is unknown why she was walking in a lane of traffic at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or driver involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
