Two suspects were arrested after a two-city pursuit Saturday that started at the Bloomfield Lowe's and ended with a crash on Route 44 and Irving Street in Hartford, according to Bloomfield police .

Theodore Tobias, 53, and Portia Bick, 34, were arrested and their truck was seized after the pursuit that started at the Bloomfield Lowes at 325 Cottage Grove Road ended, police said.

Officers were called when Tobias and Bick's white pickup truck was spotted and they appeared ready to enter the store, according to Bloomfield police.

Police said the truck and suspects were recognized from previous alleged larcenies in Newington and Bloomfield. Bloomfield officers approached the truck and the suspects fled, police said.

In Hartford, at Route 44 and Irving Street, the suspect's truck hit a light post and sustained front end damage, police said. A Bloomfield police cruiser was also damaged after the suspect's vehicle rolled back and collided with the cruiser, according to Bloomfield police.

Tobias is allegedly facing unspecified motor vehicle charges and Bick is facing a charge of possession of controlled substance, according to Bloomfield police. The case remains under investigation, police said.

Authorities have identified body parts found in a freezer earlier this year in Colorado as belonging to a teenager who went missing nearly two decades ago. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the remains are those of Amanda Leariel Overstreet, who had not been seen since April 2005. Her head and hands were discovered in a freezer at a home in Grand Junction, about 240 miles west of Denver, in January. Overstreet was the biological daughter of the home's previous owners. The remains were found when the new owners, who had recently purchased and remodeled the home, attempted to give away the freezer. Investigators have emphasized that the current owners are not connected to the case. Overstreet's disappearance had never been formally reported, and the case remains under investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
