Popular Hawaiian barbecue chain opens first Berkeley location
( KRON ) — A popular Hawaiian barbecue chain is opening its first location in Berkeley. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is now occupying a 1,881-square-foot building at 2475 Telegraph Ave., the restaurant announced in a press release.
UC Berkeley students can now satisfy a Hawaiian barbeque craving with this new location.
L&L is located about a five-minute walk from the southern part of campus. L&L said it is excited to bring "affordable" meals to Cal students and city residents. According to its website, L&L Barbecue is now open in Berkeley.
"We're excited to bring L&L to Berkeley and offer a taste of Hawaii's comfort food to the local community," said Tracy Yang, chief operating officer of the new Berkeley location. "Having grown up with L&L nearby, I've always appreciated the delicious, affordable meals that felt like home. Now, I'm honored to bring that same warmth to UC Berkeley students and residents of this incredible city."
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue will be open and offer dine-in service daily from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue was founded in 1952 in Honolulu. It has since opened 232 restaurants across the globe. The chain has expanded as far east as New York City.
