An animal hospital is stepping up to care for some tiny creatures that need extra help this time of year.The Von Arx Wildlife Hospital at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida is currently treating 21 nestling gray squirrels. They say it's baby squirrel season, and many of them get injured because tree trimmers don't know they're around.They want people to be mindful when trimming trees and tending to their gardens and always check for any nests. They can also be on the ground after heavy storms knock them from trees.If you see a baby squirrel that needs help, try wrapping the squirrel in a soft cloth and placing it in a ventilated container.You can take injured animals to the Von Arx Wildlife Hospital located at 1495 Smith Preserve Way in Naples.
