Powerball winning numbers, live results for Wednesday’s $408M drawing

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday's lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $408 million with a cash option of $196.3 million.

The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.

No one across the country hit Monday's $388 million Powerball jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.

In New Jersey, two $50,000, third-prize Powerball tickets were purchased for Monday's drawing.

The lucky tickets were sold at Basic Food Mart on Chestnut Street in Union Township in Union County and at the Wawa on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood in Essex County, according to the New Jersey Lottery. Both matched four numbers but plus the Powerball.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Friday's Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $185 million with a cash option of $88.4 million.
