"I'd gotten to know the wives as they watched their husbands get traded, get injured-and all too often, get caught fooling around with women they met on the road." Shaunie Henderson, in her memoir, spoke about the issue that partners of famous athletes face. When Undefeated hit the market, people got to the details about the heartbreak and struggles of the producer. And now Shaquille O'Neal seemingly confirms one of his habits and names the former Orlando teammate.

When asked about the best teammate from all his previous teams to go after the game, Shaq quickly said the name. "D Scott (Dennis Scott) he introduced me to a place called Magic City in Atlanta. Look it up, just look it up." Well, host Adam Lefkoe gave a sarcastic answer to cover the true nature of the place. "It's a library," even Shaquille O'Neal then mocked the answer on his Big Podcast . "Yeah, yeah it is."

O'Neal admitted before that he wasn't a good and loyal husband to Shaunie. In this book, she revealed her feelings when Shaq would go "missing," implying that he was stepping out. But she did not let the feeling linger in her mind. "That's why I eventually forgave Shaquille for the things he did wrong in our marriage." The reason was that Shaunie had seen her mother suffer the same.

Her parents were together for over five decades till her father passed away in March 2022. But when she was young, the creator of Basketball Wives understood that her father was unfaithful. However, her mother not only stayed in the marriage, but she never forgave her father. Thus, not repeating the same mistake with Shaquille O'Neal, she forgave him. Amidst her divorce, her mother even suggested reconciling.

"They're men. They're going to mess up all the time. Get over it and move on," Shaunie Henderson revealed in her book . But she believed that messing up and stepping out of the bounds of marriage were two separate issues. Further, she added that infidelity would always become a burden, "I want to give him a kiss and cuddle with him and not ask myself, Has he done this with three other women today behind my back? I don't want that burden for the rest of my life."

After years of separation, they are now successfully co-parenting their children. Celebrating their kids on social media. But the book made headlines during the launch, and the Lakers legend shared his views with his 35 million followers.

Shaquille O'Neal addressed his problem on social media "Looking back, I don't know that I was ever really in love with the man, but I was in love with the idea of being married to the man I had a family with." In the book, Shaunie mentions her first marriage with Shaq and questions herself if she truly ever loved him. Many people were puzzled by this take. But Shaquille O'Neal's cryptic post cleared many narratives.

"I understand...I wouldn't have been in love with me neither. Wishing you all the best. All love, Shaq." Plus, he added the caption, "trust me i get it." That's why there was no back-and-forth between the two. Both have been amicable, and even Shaunie never blamed Shaquille O'Neal for the mistakes.

"Neither of us took the time to invest in our future by seeking marriage counseling, which, looking back, we probably should have." This gives an outlook on how they know that there is no need to relive the past. Both of them are on the same page about their mistakes and are proving to be better at co-parenting their children.
