Pryes plots three weekends of Oktoberfest celebrations

That sound of approaching accordions? It's the arrival of Oktoberfest .

At Pryes Brewing , it signals the arrival of PryesFest, three weekends of family-friendly Oktoberfest celebrations that include goat petting, live roaming musicians, wood-fired pizzas, and plenty of beer.

There will, of course, be steins overflowing with German-style beer at the Beer Garden Stein Bar, which will offer a $20 commemorative stein that comes with a free pour of either Pragmatic Pilsner or PryesFest Märzen, the brewery's special Oktoberfest release. Refills will be just $5.

Saturdays will be the life of the party, with roaming Oktoberfest music and the goat petting pen only popping up on Saturday during the three weekends of festivities.

The free party will take place the weekends of Sept. 20–22, 27–29, and Oct. 4–6 on the sprawling outdoor patio at Pryes Brewing in Minneapolis . Each weekend, the party starts at 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
