ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is suspending its fares to assist with evacuations as the county prepares for Hurricane Milton.

Mandatory evacuations begin in Tampa Bay ahead of Milton

The suspension covers all PSTA routes, the Jolley Trolley and Looper as well as PSTA's paratransit service, PSTA Access.

Fares will be suspended Monday, Oct. 7. The administrative office will be open that day but will close Tuesday and Wednesday.

Pinellas County has already declared mandatory evacuations for healthcare facilities and assisted living facilities in zones A, B, and C.

As of this report, residents in these areas are under a voluntary evacuation order, but these can turn into mandatory evacuations Monday.
