Christofer Antonio Argueta Ramirez, 19, a U.S. citizen from Woodbridge, had bought a one-way ticket to El Salvador that was leaving around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers found Argueta Ramirez at the departure gate, verified his identity and took him into custody. He was turned over to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.

Customs and Border Protection said Argueta Ramirez was wanted for a Prince William County homicide. A Prince William County Police spokesperson told Patch that the suspect was a juvenile at the time of the December 2022 homicide. Due to charges through juvenile petitions, the police department couldn't confirm the identity of the then-juvenile suspect. Police did say a suspect was recently re-arrested in the homicide case after charges were originally dismissed through the courts.

The charges stem from the killing of Jose Abelino Guerrero, 20, who was reported missing by family in the Woodbridge area on Dec. 21, 2022. Police say he was seen leaving his home on Lost Canyon Court, and his vehicle was found unoccupied two days later near Bel Air Road and Jeffries Road W. Police found blood and signs of a struggle inside.

As Abelino Guerrero's disappearance was upgraded to endangered, police conducted multiple searches over several weeks. Police identified two persons of interest after an investigation revealed Abelino Guerrero and the two suspects arranged a narcotics sale on Dec. 21, 2022. An altercation happened during the drug sale, and police believe Abelino Guerrero was fatally stabbed multiple times. The suspects took the victim's body to discard in Prince George's County, Maryland. A body believed to be Abelino Guerrero was found by Maryland authorities on Jan. 19, 2023.
