Bally's to hold job fair Thursday

Bally's Quad Cities will hold a job fair from 4 to 8:30 p.m. upcoming Job Fair, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10. The event will take place in the Event Center, located at 777 Bally Boulevard in Rock Island.

The company is seeking talented individuals to join the team in various positions, including dealer school, experienced dealers and security officers.

The Job Fair offers an opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the gaming industry. Candidates will have the chance to participate in on-the-spot interviews, with dealer school sessions starting as soon as Oct. 17. This means that successful applicants can quickly embark on their journey toward becoming professional dealers and receiving comprehensive training from experienced instructors.

For those interested in a career in security, Bally's Quad Cities offers a supportive and dynamic work environment, according to a news release. It adds that security officers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff. New Minority Business Summit announced, taking applications

The Quad Cities Chamber announces a new Minority Business Summit being held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 29, at the Hotel Blackhawk, Davenport. This free event, presented by Wells Fargo, is designed to empower minority entrepreneurs and business owners.

Keynote speaker Dr. Kit Evans-Ford will share "A Founder's Story: Navigating the Ups and Downs of Entrepreneurship." Throughout the day, participants will attend workshops on crucial topics such as digital marketing strategies, navigating accounting challenges, leveraging technology, scaling your business and funding opportunities.

Minority entrepreneurs and business owners can fill out an application expressing their interest. Deadline to apply is Oct. 18. Application and information are available on the Chamber's website

Atlantec Engineers, Innovae join IMEG

Atlantec Engineers of North Carolina and Colorado-based Innovae have joined national full-service engineering consulting firm IMEG.

Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, and founded in 1992, Atlantec Engineers has provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design and services, as well as energy modeling, on a wide variety of projects in the commercial, health care, sports and recreation, housing, and historic renovation and restoration markets.

Innovae, a multi-discipline industrial engineering design company founded in 2016, provides innovative and sustainable engineering solutions to life science, food and beverage, and other FDA-regulated and commercial manufacturing clients, according to a news release.

"Atlantec Engineers and Innovae are fantastic additions to our team," IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne said. "Their high-quality design and client-centric approach align perfectly with IMEG. Atlantec Engineers Principal Brad Felts will serve as a client executive, and the firm will continue to operate out of its Raleigh location. Innovae President Dan Weisiger will continue to serve as the client executive for his team, which will operate from its locations in Centennial and Boulder, Colorado.
