The Raiders ruled Crosby out for this past Sunday's game against Cleveland because of a high-ankle sprain. It was the first game the three-time Pro Bowler has missed in his NFL career.

As it turns out, Crosby said it was also likely the first game he missed because of an injury in his entire football career.

Crosby said he and head coach Antonio Pierce wanted him on the sideline, but the team's trainers and medical staff wanted him to stay off his feet. The Raiders .

"Honestly, I've never been more stressed during a football game," he said. "I've never experienced watching my own team from home, and I was losing my mind the whole time."

The plan is for Crosby to return to the team to face the Broncos in Denver on Sunday, Oct. 6, he told the audience.

"I'm getting a lot better," Crosby said. "I'm starting to feel like myself. And it's been tough for me more mentally because I'm used to playing every single rep, playing every single game, being out there every practice with my guys. I'm a captain, I'm a leader. I love being in front."
