S.Hernandez3 months ago
Maxx Crosby will not be denied. Despite being listed as doubtful on the injury report and not practicing all week, the Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher is playing Sunday in a critical game against the Kansas City Chiefs at home Sunday (kickoff is set for 1:25 p.m. PT. NFL Media reported Sunday morning Crosby had been pushing to play because he wants to face Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Interim Raiders’ head coach Antonio Pierce said Friday that Crosby was getting treatment around the clock, before the injury report came out Friday There have been 67 players listed as doubtful to play this season and none have played before Crosby on Sunday. The last time its has happened in the NFL was in Week 8 of 2020. Ironically, New York Giants receiver Darius Slayton pulled it off Sunday as well. Crosby came into this week, playing 77 NFL games without missing one and that streak somehow continues Sunday. Crosby rarely comes off the field. He has played every snap of six of the past seven games and he played in 97 percent of the other game. Crosby, who has 10.5 sacks in 11 games, is a brilliant player. Meanwhile, Las Vegas standout left tackle Kolton Miller is active. He missed the past two games with a shoulder injury. Safety Marcus Epps (neck) and linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle) and are all also playing. Like Miller, they were all listed as questionable to play. Here are the Raiders’ other inactive players: Teamer was arrested for DUI on Sunday morning.
