Rainy conditions likely impact Monday morning Omaha-metro commute

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A number of crashes mixed with wet roads affected the Monday morning commute in the Omaha-metro. A crash on northbound JFK past Chandler just before 7 a.m. caused major backups. Drivers were told to expect delays after a crash on the ramp from JFK northbound to I-80 westbound just before 6 a.m. At about 7:30 a.m., there was another crash on the ramp from westbound Dodge to southbound I-680. More delays were likely in the area of Harrison and Giles, as there was a crash just after 7:30 a.m. A crash at the exit from southbound JFK to F St. caused the right shoulder to be blocked. A stalled vehicle blocked the right lane of the ramp from I-80 westbound to Giles. In Bellevue, there was a crash just before 8 a.m. on Cornhusker near 15th St. that caused delays westbound. Another crash was on I-80 eastbound just past Giles just before 8 a.m. On southbound I-680, there was a crash approaching Dodge just before 8:30 a.m. The last crash reported in the morning commute was on northbound JFK near Childs Rd.
