NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Think Rashid Shaheed, think speed. And it was on full display last season for the Saints. Shaheed flashed big-play ability all year. He tied for the team lead with five touchdown receptions, was second in receiving yards and averaged nearly 16 yards per catch. When Derek Carr went deep, it was usually Shaheed he was looking for. This season, the expectations will be even higher for Shaheed. With Michael Thomas gone, Shaheed could become the team's true #2 option at the wide receiver position, something he essentially became by the end of last season. Like everyone else, Shaheed will be learning a new offense and should benefit from the play-action deep shots the new system should set up.
