Ravenna woman charged with setting Summit County apartment on fire: deputies

COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — A Ravenna woman is charged with committing arson at a Coventry Township apartment complex on Wednesday night.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office and the Coventry Fire Department were called to a fire inside an apartment in the 3500 block of South Turkeyfoot Road at about 10:45 p.m.

On the scene, the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Courtney Lynn Cooney, tried to run away but was arrested and taken to the Summit County jail, deputies said.
According to the sheriff's office, Cooney, who had been previously kicked out of the apartment complex, "pushed in an air conditioning unit, poured gasoline on furniture inside the apartment and lit the fire."

Cooney is charged with aggravated arson, but officials said additional charges are pending further investigation.
