I appreciate the coverage of Keith Wilson's candidacy for mayor, (" Keith Wilson is running for Portland mayor on one bold idea to end homelessness. Will voters buy it? " Oct. 6). I am planning to vote for him because I like the idea of a successful CEO in Portland's new version of mayor under the revamped charter. In this new role, leadership and understanding how to run a complex organization are more important than politics. The new version of city government will be a big change, which I welcome. Electing Wilson would feel like turning the page, while Carmen Rubio and Rene Gonzalez just feel like more of the same old Portland politics.
