Rebuilding Together and a community partner renovates a home for an Army veteran’s family

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - On Friday, Rebuilding Together provided free renovations to a home for an Army veteran and his family.

The home renovations were for Christopher, an Army veteran, and his wife Sara who uses a wheelchair and a walker. They needed to renovate their home to provide safer and more convenient living for their family.

On Friday, Rebuilding Together, Veterans at Home, and volunteers made renovations to Christopher and his family's home. They removed carpets in two rooms, installed vinyl plank flooring, replaced rails and pickets to their fence, and replaced siding to the outside of the home.

Founded in 1999, Rebuilding Together works to serve homeowners who may not be able to provide renovations for themselves.

"On the outside, we rebuild homes; but on the inside, we transform lives and revitalize neighborhoods," said Rebuilding Together.
