ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – In a letter to customers on Monday, Red Cow, a restaurant chain in Rochester, has announced that it is clear of E. coli O157. On Friday, Nov. 15, the Minnesota Department of Health informed the chain that one of its suppliers, Wolverine Ground Beef, potentially had E. coli cases traced to it. In response, Red Cow states that it took immediate action to work with public health officials and remove suspected product from the restaurant and removed the producer from its supply chains. According to the company, health inspectors were on-site immediately and cleared the restaurant of risk. The establishment is no longer serving the product in question and have thoroughly disinfected and cleaned all restaurant locations. According to Red Cow, there are 61 other restaurants that purchased the affected product.
