RG Snyman primed for Leinster debut as he steps up recovery from injury for Friday’s URC clash at Aviva

Snyman trained with the rest of the squad in UCD today and his progression is timely for Cullen's men as they prepare for their opening home United Rugby Championship game at the Aviva Stadium against the Dragons.

Snyman was sidelined after suffering the injury ahead of South Africa's Rugby Championship test against Australia and immediately linked up with Leinster to start his rehabilitation.

Speaking today, Cullen didn't rule out the possibility of Snyman playing some part in the game on Friday.

In other news, player of the match Jamison Gibson-Park came through Friday night's 33-31 win over Edinburgh with no issues after his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Tommy O'Brien's involvement with the Emerging Ireland tour is now in doubt after the winger suffered a hamstring injury in the act of scoring Leinster's opening try of the season.

O'Brien's frustrating run of injuries continues and he will require a further assessment this week before a final decision is made on his involvement on the tour.

James Culhane was withdrawn for a head injury assessment towards the end of game and Cullen confirmed that the back-row passed all assessments.

Culhane is available for selection this weekend and will be available to travel with the Emerging Ireland squad.

Michael Milne was withdrawn with an ankle injury on Friday and will be further assessed this week and Cullen also revealed there is no further update on Dan Sheehan's recovery from a long-term knee injury.
