Ricky Martin and son Valentino, 16 , show off their dance moves in fun video

Ricky Martin has been waiting for years to show off his iconic dance moves alongside 16-year-old son Valentino , and now his wish has finally come true.

On Nov. 12, the proud dad and Valentino both uploaded videos to their social media pages of them facing off in a friendly dance battle.

At the start of the clip , both Martin and his son nail the same choreography before showing off their individual styles toward the end.

In the caption for his post, which TODAY.com has translated from Spanish, the music icon and actor wrote, "I've been wanting to do a video like this with my son for years and jr. finally agreed." He wrote a similar message in English on his Instagram story and added a laughing, confetti and dancing man emoji.

Valentino commented below the post and wrote, "WOW just WOW."

For the teenager's caption on his page , he playfully called out his dad. "Let's see what you got Old man!" he joked.

Fans applauded the father-son duo in the comments on Martin's post.

"Anyone else loving how he (highly likely intentionally) is not stealing his son's thunder?" one said.

Another wrote, "It's a Toss up .. Gotta say Your Son is Pretty Darn Good."

A third said, "You both look amazing! My timeless Ricky Martin and his mini-me, double the charm."

Martin welcomed Valentino and his 16-year-old twin brother Matteo with the help of a surrogate in 2008. Last summer, both boys surprised their famous father onstage and danced with him during a concert in Europe. Martin called it a "beautiful" moment on his Instagram .

The singer also shares 5-year-old daughter Lucia and 5-year-old son Renn with ex-husband Jwan Yosef, whom he split from in 2023 after six years of marriage.

The "Palm Royale" star recently made a public appearance with his twin boys when he performed at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia.
