OWEGO, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Owego boy's soccer team was hosting their STAC semi-final against Maine-Endwell. Both teams are ranked in the state in their respective classes and have proved how good they are by making it to the STAC playoffs, so it was shaping up to be a good one.

OFA. Hosting the Spartans at Christy Valvo Stadium. It would be back and forth. Big opportunity off a head falls to Zyir Van Scoy who volleys one on target, but it's straight at the keeper. Ensuing corner. Balls swung in and found the head of Matthew Higgins, and it took a deflection and found netting. 1-0 Hawks. Spartans would have chances. The ball's played across to Parker Moses who takes one touch and fires on target, but that's saved. Then Owego again. Corner comes in. It's long. Played back across the box. There's a scramble and then Ian Sheridan is able to slot it home bottom left.

The River Hawks shut out M-E, 2-0.
