Robots are Coming to a Ghost Kitchen in An Illinois Walmart Soon

Here are words that I never dreamed I would utter. Robots are about to take over a ghost kitchen inside of an Illinois Walmart store soon and I'm not making any of this up.

I saw this curious ghost kitchen in an Illinois Walmart store development from Restaurant Dive . So you can know that I'm not taking this out of context or making it up out of thin air, here are the exact words of what's about to happen:

"Richtech Robotics previously secured exclusive operational rights for a Walmart Ghost Kitchen location in Rockford, Illinois"

How odd. Chain Store Age said what the Rockford Walmart will have is "AI-equipped Richtech Robotics ADAM robotic beverage system".

Now, about that ghost kitchen thing, Walmart. These exist and this video shows how the robots integrate into the ghost kitchen to make the magic happen.

The robotics company said this Terminator-looking barista will be the "first humanoid drink robot in the state of Illinois". The part of me that is a tech nerd is fascinated about the possibilities and how they make this happen. The part of me that has seen how what Skynet does to the humans in movies is terrified.
