Rockdale Police Department issues arrest warrant for 16-year-old in fatal shooting investigation

ROCKDALE, Texas (KWTX) - The Rockdale Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a 16-year-old suspect in a fatal shooting investigation. Arrest warrants have been issued for a 16-year-old suspect for capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police say. Authorities did not release the name of the suspect due to his age. On Nov. 16, at around 7:20 p.m., police say officers were sent to a residence in the 400 block of East 4th Street in Rockdale on reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, police found a victim, identified as 20-year-old Trevor Everage, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Shortly after, police say they found a second victim, identified as 22-year-old Christopher Flores, in the 200 block of 4th street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police say both victims were taken to the Rockdale Airport to be air lifted to Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, but Flores was pronounced dead at the airport. An investigation into the shooting revealed the shooting was targeted and in regard to an attempted robbery, according to police.
