Rollover crash blocks Highway 501 near overpass in Aynor; 1 person taken to hospital
HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A section of Highway 501 near the overpass in Aynor was closed Wednesday morning after a vehicle crashed into a guardrail and overturned, according to Horry County Fire Rescue .
HCFR crews were dispatched at about 8:35 a.m. to the crash near Julius H. Goodson Avenue. Southbound traffic was expected to be blocked for an "extended duration." One person was taken to the hospital after being taken out the the vehicle by first responders.
No additional information was immediately available. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Horry County and Aynor police departments are investigating.
