Rosters announced for Wyoming Coaches Foundation all-star games

Some of the state's top volleyball and basketball players from the Class of 2024 will be on the court at the Wyoming Coaches Foundation all-star games later this month.

The annual North/South games between recent graduates are scheduled for Saturday, July 20 at Casper College's Swede Erickson Thunderbird Gym. The action tips off with the volleyball game at 1 p.m., followed by the girls' basketball game at 3 p.m. and the boys' basketball game at 5 p.m.

Class 3A state champion Mountain View leads the South team with four players: Kate Walker, Mylie Micheli, Mya Hutchings and Kallea Pitts.

The South also has Bryli Groll and Reagan Teichert, who helped lead Cokeville to its state-record 26th Class 1A title last November.

The North squad features Powell's Addy Thorington, a three-time all-state selection who will play at the University of Wyoming; and Big Horn's Saydee Zimmer, a four-time 2A all-state honoree for the state champion Rams.

Girls' basketball

Adeline Burgess, Alli Ligocki and Addie Pendergast from Class 4A state champion Sheridan headline the North team.

For the South, Bradie Schlabs from Cheyenne East was a four-time all-state selection, with Laramie's Addison Forry, Wheatland's Lily Nichols and Burns' Jordan Griess earning two all-state honors.

Boys' basketball

Cheyenne Central, the 4A state champ, has two players on the South team in Joe Sawyer, the state's Gatorade Player of the Year, and Sammy Shumway.

Also on the South are three-time all-state selection Nate Halquist from Douglas and back-to-back all-state honorees in Trey Rinn from Douglas, Josh Gosar from Pinedale and Finn Rolseth from Saratoga.

The North team has two recent state champs in Gunnar Erickson from 3A Powell and Chase Mills from 1A Upton.

Buffalo's Eli Patterson was a four-time all-state selection and Jackson big man Andrew Hanna a three-timer. Natrona County, which finished third at state, will be represented by Colton Rogers, Konnor White and Neven Coleman.

Champions were crowned on Saturday in the Class 3A and 4A state basketball tournaments at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
