RPD on the scene of a deadly crash near Monroe Avenue, road closures exist

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR ) – The Roanoke Police Department is currently on the scene of a deadly crash on Monroe Street NW.

Details are currently limited, however, reports of the crash were received around 10:58 a.m.

The road is closed from Vermont Avenue to Tennessee Avenue NW.

One individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash and how many people were involved is currently unknown.
