Sports Saints Fans Unleash 3-Word Chant During Frustrating Thursday Night Loss

The New Orleans Saints dropped their fifth consecutive loss on Thursday night, suffering a 33-10 blowout defeat at the hands of the visiting Denver Broncos.

The Saints began the 2024 NFL season with a 2-0 start, but have since dropped losses to the Eagles, Falcons, Chiefs, Buccaneers and now Broncos.

Saints head coach Dennis Allen has been on the hot seat for quite some time now, and this ugly loss could be the nail in the coffin for his career in New Orleans.

Saints fans certainly seem to feel like it's time for the organization to make a change.

During the second half of the Saints-Broncos "Thursday Night Football" matchup, New Orleans fans rained a three-word chant down from the Caesars Superdome stands.

"Fire Dennis Allen," the fanbase chanted, per team insider Chris Rosvoglou.

The Saints were crushed by injuries heading into Thursday night's game, missing Derek Carr, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Fifth-round rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler made his second career start, losing two fumbles in the blowout loss.

With Thursday night's loss, Allen's head coaching record with the Saints drops to 18-23. This most recent loss came at the hands of longtime New Orleans head coach Sean Payton, who Allen took over for back in 2022.

The Saints will look to stop this five-game losing skid in a Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday.
