The San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra will conclude its 2024 season with two concerts, "Movies With the Maestro" Oct. 26 and "A Christmas Festival" Dec. 14.

Both concerts will be at 3 p.m. at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts, 562 W. Fourth St., San Bernardino.

"Movies with the Maestro" will feature some of music director Anthony Parnther's favorite film and television music, including some of the scores he has led on the session stages of Hollywood, according to a news release.

The concert will include "Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker Jr., a "Disney Villains Medley," "Thriller" by Michael Jackson, an "Aladdin" orchestral suite by Alan Menken, "Chariots of Fire" by Vangelis, "Transformers Suite" by Jongnic Bontemps and excerpts from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" by John Williams.

Also on the program are "The Imperial Suite" from "Rogue One" by Michael Giacchino and "Star Wars" music by John Williams.

Those attending the concert are encouraged to bring lightsabers for the "Star Wars" music, and there will be an after-concert trick-or-treat for young people in the audience, according to the news release.

The Dec. 14 concert will feature holiday music from pops to traditional and an opportunity for the audience to join in a sing-along finale.
