Jennifer Esposito has been with her husband, Jesper Vesterstrom, for more than eight years.

In March 2023, Vesterstrom celebrated seven years with Esposito with a sweet Instagram post which included a photo of the pair.

"7 years baby he wrote. "I love you more than anything and couldn't be more proud of what you have created ... [you're] simply amazing, talented and we will celebrate it very soon #anniversary #love #mywife."

Esposito keeps her relationship with Vesterstrom pretty private, rarely sharing photos or details of their everyday lives. However, there is still plenty to know about the Danish athlete.

He is from Copenhagen Unlike Esposito, who is from Brooklyn, N.Y., Vesterstrom is from Copenhagen. He was born and raised in Denmark.

Vesterstrom and Esposito currently live together in East Hampton, N.Y.

The couple had a COVID-19 pandemic wedding Esposito and Vesterstrom met in 2016 and got married four years later in 2020.

They had a very private, intimate wedding near their home in East Hampton during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress described it as "the best way to have a wedding" during a 2024 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark .

There were no guests and no live stream for close family and friends. Instead, it was just Esposito and Vesterstrom on the beach with a friend who acted as the officiant. The nuptials were extremely casual — Vesterstrom wore a wetsuit (he went windsurfing afterwards) and Esposito wore a maxi dress, a denim jacket and sneakers.

Esposito shared photos of the night on her Instagram at the time, including snaps of the newlyweds on the beach and hugging afterwards near a fire pit.

He is a pro windsurfer Vesterstrom has been windsurfing for years and even went pro in the sport.

During her 2024 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, Esposito described the sport as "going 50 mph and flipping." She explained that Vesterstrom grew up windsurfing in Denmark before going "all around the world doing it."

"He was like the best in the world," she added. When asked if she would ever try out the sport, she said, "Absolutely not."

Vesterstrom's windsurfing accomplishments include being the Danish national champion in 2004, winning several Nordic Championships and becoming a two-time US Windsurfing champion.

In a biography on the PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) World Tour's website, Vesterstrom said he started windsurfing at the age of 12, and noted: "Long-term goals are the most difficult to achieve. You've got to stay on top of it all the time, every day counts. You can't waste a single minute."

He is a fitness trainer Aside from dedicating much of his time to windsurfing, Vesterstrom is also a certified fitness trainer and an NLP coach.

On his training website Move Equals Life , Vesterstrom says, "For more than 20 years, I have practiced health and wellness by seeking the best education, the best trainers and the best practices. The result has been proven and suits every level of fitness."

He works to bring awareness to ALS Vesterstrom attributes much of his success to motivation he got from his father, who died from ALS, a progressive, fatal neurological disease.

On his website, he reflected on his dad's impact on his life, writing, "He inspired me and told me to go live my dream, because we never know when time stops and when we will lose the ability to move. My dad gave me the green light to go and pursue my dream to be among the best windsurfers in the world."

His father's death also inspired Vesterstrom to work to raise awareness about ALS.

"My dad lost his life to ALS and that changed my life in a big way," Vesterstrom wrote on his website . "It gave me the strength and courage to be unique and go down a different path, but also left me sad and frustrated; the feeling many kids have dealing with parents diagnosed with ALS."

He works closely with Hope Loves Company , which is the only nonprofit in the United States which works to provide educational and emotional support to children and young adults who have a loved one facing ALS.

He is supportive of Esposito Vesterstrom is a supportive husband to Esposito, who has talked about how he helped make it possible for her to make her movie Fresh Kills.

In a 2024 interview with Avenue magazine, Esposito revealed that she had to mortgage their house to get the funds for the film — which she wrote, directed and stars in — and her husband was fully supportive of the plan. "I just made the decision," she recalled. "It was not an easy conversation. But I will say I have never in my life had someone support me 100% more than my husband."
