D.Nguyen3 hr ago

The after-hours event, presented by Hologic, will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Escondido museum. The 8th annual Space Night offers families the opportunity to participate in hands-on science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math (STREAM) activities.

"At the museum, we pride ourselves in creating authentic hands-on learning experiences that spark a love of learning," said Christina Piranio, CEO of San Diego Children's Discovery Museum. "Through events such as Space Night, we're providing families with opportunities to build foundational skills in STEM education while feeding a natural wonder about all things from gravity to galaxies. We are so grateful to all the community partners who will be sharing their related expertise on the day."

Through interactive activities, children will learn about moons with NASA Solar System Ambassadors, coding and robotics, water filtration with Escondido Environmental Services, and more. Plus, families can write a postcard that will be sent to space.

Pre-registration is required for the event. Tickets are $12 for members and $17 for non-members. Special discounts are available for military and veteran families.
