Sanford Health Bismarck is hosting an open house as it prepares to open its new clinic in the Southridge Center south of downtown.

The event at the clinic in the former Barnes & Noble bookstore at 565 S. Seventh St. - just east of Kirkwood Mall - is from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday.

Construction began early this year on the nearly 20,000-square-foot clinic with 35 exam rooms. Sanford at the time listed the cost of the project at $10 million.

Sanford Southridge Clinic will have walk-in care, lab services and imaging. The Sanford Downtown Walk-in Clinic at 225 N. Seventh St. in Bismarck will move within the new clinic and be renamed Sanford Southridge Walk-in Clinic. In the future, family medicine and specialty services will also be provided within the clinic.

"This space will enable us to grow our care teams, increase our capacity and improve overall convenience for those we serve," Sanford Bismarck CEO Dr. Todd Schaffer said.

The open house for the public will include guided tours, refreshments and giveaways. The new clinic will open Tuesday, Nov. 12, and will be open every day of the year, including weekends, evenings and holidays. Walk-in hours will be 8 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Sanford Bismarck region provides health care to central and western North Dakota, eastern Montana and northern South Dakota, with 26 clinics in Bismarck, Mandan, Minot, Dickinson, Williston and Watford City, as well as a Level II trauma center in Bismarck.
