Scranton Prep Galleria kicks off
(WBRE/WYOU) — You still have one more day to get in on all the fun happening at a local high school.
Scranton Prep kicked off its annual Galleria Saturday morning.
Raffle baskets and more than 75 vendors are featuring local crafts, boutiques, and even artisan chefs.
Admission is five dollars for adults and free for children under 12.
All proceeds go toward Scranton Prep scholarships. Some students were even outside collecting canned food and non-perishables.
"So this is for the great ignition challenge. We've been doing this for three years, and over the three years, we've raised over 300 thousand pounds of food. We donate to 13 local charities so this is all going to our local charities. We're out here standing for our local galleria, we're here collecting cans today and tomorrow so come out and visit us," explained Marin Purcell a volunteer.
Those who donate food items earn an extra raffle ticket to use inside.
The Scranton Prep Galleria continues Sunday from 11 until three in the school gymnasium.
