SEC Nation Refuses to Bow Down to Big 10, Despite Paul Finebaum’s Unfiltered Comment on OSU vs Indiana

The CFB season heads into its penultimate weekend with everything to play for. Playoff berths, conference championship spots, some good old-fashioned pride- you name it. Amidst all the facets and storylines, the eyes of the nation will seemingly be locked in on Columbus. David faces Goliath. The no.2 Ohio State Buckeyes (9-1) host the no.5 Indiana Hoosiers (10-0). Yet, those of a south-east persuasion are unwavering.

ESPN's SEC Nation has been a mainstay of CFB coverage for a decade. The show is intrinsically embedded into the fabric of arguably the best conference in the sport. The panel discussing anything other than SEC football would almost be sinful. Paul Finebaum vowed to keep this tradition intact, albeit conceding the point that the focus of Week 13 will firmly be on the Big 10.

In an appearance on The Matt Barrie Show , the show's namesake asked Finebaum a tongue-in-cheek question about if he and SEC Nation would rather be covering the Big 10 matchup. "I don't like using this term [and I] guess he doesn't like it. It's kind of a cupcake week next week. there's some decent games out there, but I need you to answer this question. I need an honest-to-God answer. Is SEC Nation going to Ohio State-Indiana?"

Finebaum chose to answer the question with some sarcasm of his own. "We are. We felt like it was the only place to go!" he replied. While there are no premier matchups in the SEC this week, the stakes are high as ever. 6 teams are still in contention for making it to Atlanta for the Conference Championship game. A rationale still exists where all 6 ends with the same record (10-2) at the end of the regular season. Who are these teams? Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M.

There is plenty of drama to go around in the SEC and enough factors for Finebaum and co. to dissect. The SEC nation crew will not be in Columbus after all. However, they shall still be posted in a fresh location. The show is lined up on a campus it has never visited before.

SEC Nation announce brand new location for Week 13 After a trip to Athens in Week 12, SEC Nation is set to debut at a new locale- Austin. The crew will have the honor of being at the Texas Longhorns (9-1) campus when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats (4-6). Amazingly, Texas has never been the backdrop of the show despite being the conference leader.

The Longhorns only joined the SEC this season after a shuffle of the CFB landscape. They will be hoping the show's debut in their backyard is a good omen. Kentucky has been blowing hot and cold all season. Although they are capable of an upset, just ask Lane Kiffin and his Ole Miss Rebels . Steve Sarkisian will want to avoid an untimely misstep.

Paul Finebaum and his peers will be breaking down that game and a whole host more. It is perhaps safe to say they will have an eye out for the game over in the Big 10 as well. The Lone Star State is all set to welcome a new rodeo.
