Sen. Bob Casey vows to fight against Medicare voucher program during Somerset Co. visit

Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey held a campaign event on Friday for senior citizens in Somerset County.

Sen. Casey was joined by Washington Senator Patty Murray at the Somerset Senior Center.

One of the issues he talked about was privatizing social security and making sure that Medicare isn't turned into a voucher program.

Sen. Casey says that if Medicare is turned into a voucher program, seniors would get a finite voucher, and then their remaining healthcare costs would be out of pocket expenses.

"I'm not going to sit down and hold hands with anyone who tries to turn Medicare into a voucher program. I'm going to stop them from doing that, and I'll continue to do that every minute that I have a chance to serve you in the United States Senate, so we're not going to allow that to happen," Sen. Casey said.

Meanwhile, his opponent, Dave McCormick, was in Pittsburgh on Friday talking to supporters as part of his "Price of Poor Leadership Tour."
