Senator Kevin Sparks hosting town halls across the Panhandle Sept. 23 and 24

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Texas State Senator Kevin Sparks will be visiting several town halls throughout the Panhandle on Sept. 23 and 24.

According to a news release, Senator Sparks will provide a legislative recap of the last session and outline his plans for the upcoming session beginning in January of 2025.

The town halls are non-partisan and will offer opportunities for constituents to meet Senator Sparks and learn more about his efforts.

Sparks will be joined by Representative John Smithee in Hereford, Vega, Dalhart and Claude.

The schedule of town halls is as follows:

Sept. 23:

  • Muleshoe: 9:30 a.m. at the Muleshoe ISD Administration Building Board Room, located at 514 W. Avenue G
  • Hereford: 11 a.m. at the Hereford Civic Center, located at 1001 W. 15th Street
  • Vega: 12:30 p.m. at the Vega Community Center event room, located at 304 Vega Boulevard
  • Dalhart: 2:30 p.m. at The Dust Bowl, located at 811 W 7th Street
  • Dumas: 4 p.m. at the Dumas/Moore County Visitors Center and Chamber of Commerce, located at 1901 S. Dumas Avenue
  • Perryton: 6:15 p.m. at 206 S. Main Street
  • Sept. 24:

  • Tulia: 9 a.m. at the Swisher County Courthouse, located at 119 S. Maxwell Street
  • Silverton: 10:15 a.m. at the Silverton Public Library, located at 405 Broadway
  • Claude: noon at the Armstrong County Courthouse, located at 101 Trice Street
  • Borger: 2:15 p.m. at The Dome Civic and Convention Center, located at 111 Bulldog Boulevard
  • Miami: 4 p.m. at the Miami Community Center, located at 103 S. Main Street
