Shooting leaves teen boy dead, 3 hurt in Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An overnight shooting left a teen boy dead and three others hurt in Phoenix on Saturday.

Phoenix police say around midnight, officers were called to Phoenix Memorial Hospital, near 7th Street and Buckeye Road, after multiple people who had been shot were dropped off. When officers arrived, they found four victims.

According to authorities, a teen boy and teen girl were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A man was also hospitalized with minor injuries.

The fourth victim, another teen boy, was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. His name hasn't been released.

Authorities say the original shooting happened near 13th Street and Van Buren.

Homicide detectives are currently at the original scene working to determine what led up to the shooting. Van Buren Street will be shut down as the investigation continues.
