he holidays are fast approaching and there's already a couple of chances this weekend to find the perfect gifts to give, including the annual Saline November Craft show and a pop-up market.

Here are a few things to do around Ann Arbor Friday, Nov. 8, to Sunday, Nov. 10.

Saline November Craft Show

Shop for some handmade holiday gifts at the upcoming Saline November Craft Show.

The annual juried craft show is 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Saline Middle School, 7190 N. Maple Road. Admission is $5 cash only, while children 10 years old and younger get in free.

Vendors will be selling a variety of items, including decorative paintings, stoneware, rugs, birdhouses, holiday decorations, ceramics, calligraphy and clothing.

Disability Network Holiday Pop-Up Art Market

The Disability Network Holiday Pop-Up Art Market helps those with disabilities by celebrating the art made by artists with disabilities.

The market is 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 3941 Research Park Drive. Attendees can shop from a variety of handmade items like paintings, sculptures, crafts and jewelry.

Disability Network is suggesting donating $5 to enter the event and all sales will go directly to the artists.

Guided Tours: Ypsilanti's Eclectic Architecture

History buffs wanting to learn more about Ypsilanti will love this event happening this weekend.

Local historian and naturalist, Stefan Szumko, is behind the guided walk at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10. People interested in attending must meet at the north end of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse, 100 Market Place.

The walk will go from Depot Town to downtown Ypsilanti, showing people homes and buildings from a wide variety of styles. It will also share why the Ypsilanti Historic District, Ypsilanti Heritage Foundation and Ypsilanti Historical Society were all formed in the early 1970s.

It will cost $5 to attend while children 12 years and younger are free. Learn more online.

Arts & Crafts Supply Swap with the Ann Arbor District Library

Crafters looking for some new items can find them at the Ann Arbor District Library, 343 S. 5th Ave.

The library's arts and crafts swapping event is noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, and is open for all ages. Participants do not need to drop items off in order to pick something up. Learn more online.
