Small business town halls taking place in Eastern N.C.
KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Small businesses across Eastern N.C. are getting help to grow. The U.S. Small Business Administration is hosting a series of national town halls with mayors from cities and towns across the country.
One of those events took place Thursday in Kinston. This is to hopefully help bring additional access to information for people hoping to start small businesses in Eastern N.C.
"What it's about is bringing real resources right to the streets, small businesses, how to get access to capital, how to grow and build a business, how to do government contracting, something we don't normally get here in Eastern North Carolina," Regional Administrator of U.S. Small Business Administration Allen Thomas said.
"What is going to happen today is that they're going to be able to have access to the information to figure out how to start their business, how to expand their business and how to have access to the money," Kinston Mayor Don Hardy said. "So, we are excited to be able to offer these opportunities, the resource tables that we do have."
