Sooners Making In-Roads In-State
Without question the big news of the last week has been the Sooners sending out a new in-state offer. On Saturday, for those who missed it, Oklahoma offered Jenks defensive lineman Cash Jacobsen
The big man, who grew up as a Sooners fan, took in his time in Norman as a fact-finding mission rather than trying to rush into anything he shouldn't. Not surprisingly Jacobsen enjoyed himself but wasn't ready to get too out of control with his feelings.
"It was really, really good," Jacobsen said of his first trip to Norman as a clear Sooners recruit.
And what was it that impressed him about the Oklahoma staff?
"Their mission goals," he said.
Look for more from Jacobsen soon.
Sooners Getting Head Start on Emerging StarOne of the big revelations around the state in 2024 has been the rise of Broken Bow star sophomore Greydon Howell . The dangerous ball carrier took his first trip to Norman over the weekend and came away glowing about his trip.
"It was great. Coaches and players gave off good vibes. It's always amazing when the team you go to watch wins too," Howell chuckled.
Howell was noticed by several fans and had a message they were sure to like.
"A few noticed me, I told them I was a Sooner for the day," he said.
Interestingly the guy who seems destined to be an offensive skill prospect spent his time catching up with Sooners defensive ends coach Miguel Chavis
"It was great. Coaches and players gave off good vibes. It's always amazing when the team you go to watch wins too," he explained.
"He was a cool guy. I could definitely tell he was a defensive coach by his energy though."
Could OU be interested in recruiting the 5-foot-10, 164-pound as an EDGE rusher?
"I hope not," Howell laughed.
